He was born June 6, 1944, in Greene County, the son of Willard L. and Etta I. (Gaines) Goodman.
He worked as an LPN for several years at several different hospitals. He was a member of the White Rose Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his former wife, Mary Lou Burch of Linton; three sons, James A. Goodman of Phoenix, AZ, Daniel S. Goodman of Lyons, Curtis Keller of Linton; a daughter, Phoebe Burch of Fairbanks; five sisters, Wanda Ridge of Sullivan, Carolyn Payne of Linton, Wilma Cavanaugh of Linton, Linda Pfaff of Martinsville and Kathleen Sarles of Palmyra; a brother, Larry Gene Goodman of Linton; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dale and Don L. Goodman; and one sister, Jennie Street.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at White Rose Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton with graveside military burial rites by American Legion Post 22 of Linton.
Friends may call at 11 a.m. Friday at the church until the hour of the service.
