She was born in Indianapolis on Oct. 18, 1917, she was the daughter Chester Platt and Martha Jane Harshey Platt.
She was a member of the Mt. Zion Church in Martinsville, attended Faith Community Church in Dugger, was a retired beautician,retired from 3D store in Linton, and owned and operated Main St. Pizza and AlA's Bait Shop in Dugger.
Survivors include one sister; Thelma Wilson of Carmel,a step son Bob Prather of Seymour, seven grandchildren; Beth Moon, Kent Lancaster, Billy Snead, Kelly Hayes, Rochelle Carty, John Lancaster, and Dreama Lancaster, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; also her husband, Robert Prather; two sons, Phil Lancaster and John Lancaster; one daughter, Susie Sweeten; three brothers, Paul Platt, Chet Platt Jr., Brenton DeMoss; and one grandson, Mike Lancaster.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Pastor John Lancaster officiating.
Interment will be in the Dugger Cemetery.
