* Jan. 12 -- Curtis E. Carson, 43, Hazelton, was arrested on a warrant and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy John Fowler was the arresting officer.

* Jan. 12 -- Charles M. Cundiff, 40, Bloomfield, was arrested on a preliminary charge of driving while suspended, released on $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 19.



The Linton Police Department's activity log for Monday included one fraud investigation, one juvenile/delinquent, one request for information only, one criminal mischief, one public intoxication, one accident with property damage, one funeral escort, one lost and found, two medical/illness, two alarms, three animal complaints and one domestic dispute.

* Jan. 8 -- A resident reported her small wallet-type purse with a long strap had been lost or stolen while she was shpping at the WalMart store around 7 p.m. The purse was a brown snakeskin color and contained all of her personal identification and some cash. LPD Det. Josh Goodman was the investigating officer.

* Jan. 10 -- An warrant for the arrest of Terry L. Fogerty, 43, Linton, was served at his residence on SE 6th St. around 11:10 p.m. Fogerty was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Greene County Jail where he was being held without bond. The warrant was issued out of Greene Circuit Court for failure to appear on a class D felony theft charge originated by Det. Sgt. Keith McDonald. Linton Police Officer Heath Murray was the arresting officer. LPD Reserve Officer Kent Medlock assisted on the scene.
