Rosetta Marilyn Blair, 72, of Clay City passed away at her daughters' home at 3:40 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, 2009.
She was born Feb. 8, 1936 in Greene County, the daughter of Henry T. and Pansy Goodman Rooksberry.
Marilyn was a 1954 graduate of Marco High School. She had been a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed reading, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, attending her grandson's soccer games and swinging on her front porch swing.
On Dec. 27, 1958 she was united in marriage to Don R. Blair, who preceded her in death on October 9, 1995.
Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, David and Cathy Blair of Clay City; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Tom Sullivan of Terre Haute; three grandchildren, Kristina Blair of Clay City and Eric and Joshua Sullivan of Terre Haute; Two brothers and sisters-in-laws, Dr. Donnie and Norva Jeanne Rooksberry of Marco Island, Fl; and Robert and Virginia Rooksberry of Sullivan; brother in law Rex Blair; sister-in-law Norma Blair of Clay City; along with several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home in Clay City and again Saturday from 8 -- 11 am.
Graveside services will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Steve Rundel officiating
