DEPARTMENT JAIL LOG
* Jan. 20 -- John B. Gould, 28, Jasonville, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear and was being held on $5,000 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Brad Deckard was the arresting officer.
* Jan. 20 -- Randy D. Rogers, 45, Linton, was arrested on a warrant and was released. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes was the arresting officer.
* Jan. 20 -- Thomas W. Staten, 40, Bloomfield, was arrested on a preliminary charge of domestic battery, released after posting $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 26. Bloomfield Town Marshal Kenneth Tharp was the arresting officer.
LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included two follow-up investigations, one assist to the utility department after hours, one custody dispute/exchange, one incident of criminal mischief, one utility repair, two structure fires, one funeral escort, one suicide or attempted suicide, two medical/illness, one animal complaint, one extra patrol, one domestic dispute and one battery.
* Randy Rogers, 45, Linton, was arrested around 1:30 p.m. on a warrant issued out of Vigo County for failure to appear. When officers responded to a disturbance call at a residence on NW 8th St., they saw Rogers at a next door residence and were aware of the warrant. After the warrant was confirmed, Rogers was taken into custody and transported without incident to the Greene County Jail. After an obligation was paid, he was released and the charge was dismissed. LPD Cpl. Chad E. Crynes was the investigating officer. He was assisted on the scene by LPD Chief Troy Jerrell and Officer Karl Jacobshagen.
