Food pantry

appreciates support

To the Editor:

This past year the newly named Linton Community Food Pantry and Thrift Store has been blessed with overwhelming support from the community and area churches. We thank the business, organizations, and all individuals, for their donations of both food, articles, and money.

For everyone who purchased a calendar, and all of the memorial contributions in Father Vieck's name, we thank you all so very, very much. The true meaning of Christmas was especially evident with the outpouring generosity of so many individuals.

We also want to thank Angell's Food Center, Knights of Columbus, parishioners, and especially the volunteers from several different churches. All Christians working together to help the needy is certainly a will of God. Hopefully we are fulfilling that need. Again, we thank everyone involved and may God bless you all.

Resident says thanks

for help

To the Editor:

I am appreciative of my recent experience with our county government.

Thank you county commissioners and Mike Hennette, county highway supervisor, for your quick attention and action on County Road 1225.

Since the meeting on Jan. 6, the ditches have been cleaned and the roadside graded. This will make a great difference when it rains.

Several county residents travel this road and appreciate the work there. Again, thank you from a satisfied county resident.
