Louis A "Butch" Leturgez, 66, of Hymera, passed away Feb. 1, 2009 at 1 p.m. at his residence.
He was born Jan. 29,1943 in Gilmore, Ind., to Louis F. Leturgez and Mildred "Decker" Leturgez.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1966-68 serving one year in Vietnam. He held a lifetime membership in the VFW of Clay City and American Legion of Hymera. He retired from General Electric after 30 years and farmed for several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: children, Richard D Leturgez, Greenwood, Wesley Leturgez, Little Rock, Ark., and La-Nae Leturgez, Rosedale; a sister, Julie A Ballard and husband Jim Ballard of Greenfield; brother Joe H. Leturgez and wife Kimi Leturgez of Fort Collins Col.; grandchild Derrik Anderson of Rosedale, and four nephews Chad Hood and Kevin Hood of Indianapolis, Garret Leturgez and Colton Leturgez of Fort Collins Col.
Service is Friday at the Mattox-McHugh Funeral Home in Shelburn, and viewing will be from 8 a.m. to noon with funeral service begining at noon.
Internment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland with Military Rites performed.
The Leturgez family asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Heart Association.
