Dean K. Mumma, 82, of Lyons, passed away at 7:23 P.M. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Dean was born April 6, 1926 in Odon, the son of George C. and Orah (Drake) Mumma.
He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Linton. He was a water well driller for Mumma Brothers Drilling in Lyons.
Surviving relatives include: five children, Dee Phillips of Scipio,IN; Richard Mumma and David Mumma both of Lyons, Indiana; Don Mumma of Orion, ILL and Orah Cullison of Bloomfield; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two sisters and four brothers.
Dean was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Mumma on Sept. 24, 2001; three brothers; two sisters; and his parents.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Dr. H. Eugene Riker officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Elnora.
The family wishes any donation be made to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
