Lou Ellen Roach, 82, of Bloomfield, passed away at 7:20 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2009 at Glenburn Home in Linton.
Born Dec. 26, 1926 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Lambert and Dorothy (Spree) Hasson.
She worked for Hunter's Drive Inn and the Woolen Mill in Bloomfield and also worked for NWSC Crane and was a mail carrier. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of God, attended Mansions in Heaven in Bloomfield, and was a member of the Mineral Ladies Aid.
Surviving relatives include: one son, Charles H. Roach and his wife Brenda of Bloomfield; two daughters, Martha Bishop and her husband Tom of Bloomfield and Dorothy Adams and her husband Robert of Martinsville; one brother, Lambert Hasson, Jr. of Indianapolis; one sister, Betty Ailes of Indianapolis; six grandchildren and six great, grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Roach on November 24, 1999; a grandson, Tom Matthew Bishop; two brothers; and her parents.
Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Erin Raper officiating. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and one-hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
The family asks that all memorial contributions be made to Mansions in Heaven or Walnut Grove Cemetery in care of Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home.
