Rosie Lorene Trusty, 82, of Linton, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan.
She was born Nov. 1, 1926, in Greene County, the daughter of Elmer and Myrtle (Padgett) Dove.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Gospel Church in Linton. She had owned the Bible Book Store and had worked at Western Auto. She participated for many years in cooking for church camps.
Survivors include her husband, Douglas Francis Trusty, to whom she was married May 25, 1946; two daughters, Lorene (Carl) Floyd of Linton and Brenda Trusty of Linton; two grandchildren, Michelle Diane Benefiel and Jennifer Rose; three step-grandchildren, Steve and Stuart Floyd, and Denise Graves; eight great-grandchildren, Brandon, Mallory, Tabitha, Keisha, Cloey, Tanner, Aryan, & Penney, two step-great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Allison; one great-great grandchild, Raygan Dee; and a brother-in-law, Clovis Trusty of Freemont, OH .
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Jerry Wayne Trusty, a great-grandchild, Paris Rose, two brothers, Oscar and Floyd Dove, two sisters, Hazel Knowles and Irene Carpenter; and an infant sister.
Funeral service will be conducted at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2009 with Rev. Paul Sweet officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
