GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

JAIL LOG

* Feb. 20 -- Carl R. Slater, 54, Springville, was arrested on a warrant and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Lt. Bryan K. Woodall was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 20 -- Amanda B. Delaney, 30, Bloomington, was arrested on a warrant, released on $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 27. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy John Fowler was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 20 -- Michael P. Bailey, 24, Switz City, was arrested on a warrant and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Inman was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 21 -- Derrick R. Jackson, 21, Newberry, was arrested on preliminary charges of theft and possession of a controlled substance and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Aaron Smith was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 22 -- Larry L. Weaver, 65, Linton, was arrested on three counts related to operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was being held on $4,000 bond. Linton Police Cpl. Paul Clark was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 23 -- Fred C. Rock, Jr., 51, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of marijuana and resisting law enforcement and was being held on $2,000 bond. Linton Police Officer Heath Murray was the arresting officer.

* Feb. 23 -- Jeffery S. Bays, Jr., 24, Linton, was arrested on a warrant and was being held without bond. Linton Police Cpl. Paul Clark was the arresting officer.

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one incident of minor consumption, one medical/extraction, six follow-up investigations, six requests for information only, one drug investigation, one school/foot patrol, one disorderly conduct, three structure fires, one transport of documentation, one loitering, one accident with property damage, two funeral escorts, four medical/illness, one alarm, one suspicious vehicle/person, two assists to other agencies, three harassment complaints, two possibly intoxicated drivers, two welfare checks/concerns, two domestic disputes, two domestic disputes/neighbors, one battery, one truancy and five traffic stops.

* Feb. 23 -- After police responded to a noise complaint, Jeffery Scott Bays, Jr., 24, Linton, was arrested around 1:15 a.m. by LPD Cpl. Paul F. Clark, II at a residence on SW 6th St. Bays was wanted on a warrant issued in Greene Circuit Court on a petition to revoke probation because of a probation violation. Bays was on probation due to a conviction for dealing methamphetamine. Bays was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Greene County Jail where he's being held without bond. Cpl. Clark was assisted by LPD Officer Heath E. Murray and Reserve Officer Tom A. Jerrels.
