She was born in Decker, on April 15, 1915, the daughter of the late Solomon E. and Bertha Mae (Owens) Warner.
She was married in Indianapolis to Walter Clark Cox on September 24, 1954. He died in 1972.
She attended Arsenal Technical High School.
She lived in Decker, until the age of 11 when she moved to Indianapolis and resided there until her marriage. In Indianapolis, she worked as sales clerk for G.C. Murphy Company for several years. She then moved to Greene County near Bloomfield in 1954 with her husband and worked in the Greene County Treasurer's Office as a clerk. After her husband's death she moved back to the Indianapolis area and lived with her sister, Verna, in Greenwood.
Survivors include: five stepchildren, Laura M. Bramble, Indianapolis, Shirley J. Williams, Hutchinson, Ka., Joseph W. Cox -- New Palestine, M. Louise Blair -- Indianapolis, Thomas Cox -- Indianapolis, Indiana; three nieces, Carol E. Hasty and husband, Norman -- Whiteland, Patricia A. Rogers, Franklin, Sharon Threlkeld -- St. Augustine, Fla.; many Step Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews
She was preceded in death by a sister, Verna C. Threlkeld; one brother, Kenneth C. Warner; stepchildren, Frances E. Fultz, E. LaVonne Ledford, Marilyn Bullis, Barbara J. Schober, Charles C. Cox, Carl Cox, Herbert A. Cox, and a nephew, Frank Threlkeld.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon.
Visitation will be on Friday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Boone County.
