The Linton Police Department's activity log for Monday included one title check, two follow-up investigations, two calls for lifting assistance, two custody disputes/exchanges, one assist to the utility department for a repair, one accident with property damage, two lost and found, two medical/illness, five animal complaints, one suspicious vehicle/person, one assist to another agency, one burglary, two thefts-other, two fingerprints for gun permits and six traffic stops.
* March 6 -- A resident of Jasonville reported a hit and run accident that occurred while they were shopping in the WalMart store around 2 p.m. They said both the front and rear passenger doors on their 1998 Oldsmobile car had been struck and dented. LPD Chief Troy Jerrell is the investigating officer.
* March 6 -- An act of vandalism was reported after a resident came out of their apartment and found raw sausage smeared on the windows of her car, eggs on the hood, the core of the stem removed from a rear tire and words written on the bumper in shoe polish. LPD Chief Troy Jerrell is the investigating officer.
* March 6 -- Police are investigating incidents of fraud involving several cash withdrawal transactions from a resident's PayPal account that occurred while she was in the hospital. LPD Chief Troy Jerrell is the investigating officer.
