Paul H. Grabner, 89, of Jasonville, passed away at 11:01 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Monroe Hospital in
Born Sept. 10, 1919 in Vincennes, he was the son of August Grabner and Klara (Rauer) Grabner.
He graduated from Central High School in St. Louis and then attended Atlas Trade School in St. Louis where he studied welding. He worked as a welder for Peabody Coal for 35 years. He then operated Grabners' Welding Shop. He was Past Master 50 year member of Jasonville Masonic Lodge #530 F&AM. He was also a 50 year member of Scottish Rite and Zorah Shrine of Terre Haute and a current member of Shakamak Area Chamber of Commerce, served on the Jasonville City Council, was a member of the Jasonville Lions Club and served as President of the Tri-County Fair Board.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Gladys (Cotton) Grabner of Jasonville, whom he married May 2, 1942; daughters and sons-in-law, Deanie and Bob Ferguson of Bloomington; sons and daughters-in-law, Fred & Nancy Grabner of Bloomington; grandchildren, Melissa Grabner-Hagen, Kurt Grabner, Chad Grabner, Mike Grabner, Greg Grabner, Chris Grabner, Tammy Smith, Robert Ferguson and Jim Ferguson, eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; and one brother, Fritz Grabner.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 9 a.m. until service time Monday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville. funeral home. A Masonic memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Pastor Sam Bush officiating.
Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
