JAIL LOG

* March 13 -- Matthew W. Jacobs, 18, Spencer, was arrested on a preliminary charge of burglary and was being held in lieu of $10,000 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Det. George Dallaire was the arresting officer.

* March 13 -- Tamore L. Ashton, 37, Jasonville, was arrested on a body attachment and was being held in lieu of $500 bond. Jasonville Police Reserve Officer Shawn Husband was the arresting officer.

* March 13 -- Christopher L. Camden, 32, Linton, was arrested on a warrant issued in connection with a probation violation and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy John Fowler was the arresting officer.

* March 14 -- Bryan L. Sheffler, 33, Shelburn, was arrested on preliminary charges of public intoxication and battery with injury, released on $1,500 bond and scheduled to appear in court on March 20. Linton Police Cpl. Paul Clark was the arresting officer.

* March 14 -- Jacob T. Birch, 18, Bloomfield, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on March 20. Indiana State Police Trooper Davis was the arresting officer.

* March 14 -- Cameron S. Swaby, 19, Worthington, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on March 20. Indiana State Police Trooper Davis was the arresting officer.

* March 14 -- Terry E. Drogich, 19, Lyons, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and minor consumption, released on March 15 and scheduled to appear in court on March 20.

* March 15 -- Joshua D. Haton, 29, Jasonville, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on March 20. Linton Police Cpl. Chad Crynes was the arresting officer.

* March 15 -- Jason A. Burns, 28, Linton, was arrested on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on March 20. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Inman was the arresting officer.

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one incident of breaking and entering, one title check, one follow-up investigation, five requests for information only, one request for lifting assistance, one juvenile/delinquent, one assist to the utility department after hours, one vandalism, one custody dispute/exchange, three protective order violations, one incident of criminal mischief, one school/foot patrol, three brush fires, three accidents with property damage, four medical/illness, three animal complaints, three suspicious vehicles/persons, three assists to other agencies, one burglary, two harassment complaints, two reckless drivers, one traffic control, one theft-other, one disabled/stranded vehicle, one bicycle recovered, two welfare checks/concerns, two thefts of motor vehicles, one arrest-wanted on warrant, two domestic disputes and 17 traffic stops.

* March 13 -- Terry L. Fogerty, 43, Linton, was arrested on a warrant out of Clay County for failure to appear in court on a check deception charge. Around 6:30 p.m., Fogerty was located at the WalMart store in Linton where he was placed under arrest then transported to Clay County officials without incident. LPD Reserve Officer Randy Raney was the investigating officer. Officer Heath Evan Murray provided assistance.

* March 13 -- A resident of Dugger who was driving through the intersection of Main and Vincennes Sts. northbound but getting ready to turn west, reported her vehicle was struck from behind by a blue VW passenger car around 6:30 p.m. The driver of the VW failed to stop. LPD Officer Heath Evan Murray investigated the accident with assistance from Reserve Officer Randy Rainey.

* March 14 -- A resident on NW J. St. called police after he came home around 3:25 a.m. and found large amounts of toilet paper and eggs on his house. LPD Officer Heath Evan Murray is the investigating officer.

* March 14 -- Police are investigating an incident of invasion of privacy reported by a woman late in the afternoon which occurred at a residence on RR4. LPD Cpl. Chad E. Crynes is the investigating officer.

* March 15 -- A resident of Camelot Apartments reported an incident of residential entry and criminal mischief which occurred sometime between 10:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Their front door had been forced open and the door jam was busted. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen is the investigating officer.

* March 15 -- A resident who has a white Coachmaster camper parked at the Linton Saddle Club on Park Rd. and County Road 200N reported it had been burglarized sometime in December. The police report states an unknown suspect busted out a side window and pried open a side door and numerous items were now missing including two televisions, one with a DVD/VCR combo worth $300, one Dale Jarret bag, one Tony Stewart bag, 20-25 LP albums, a microwave cart, light fixture, coffee pot, can opener, mixer, towels, washcloths and pillows. LPD Cpl. Chad E. Crynes is the investigating officer.

* March 15 -- A 1996 Polaris Sportsman 500 was reported stolen from under a carport on SE 5th St. sometime between March 12-15. It appeared the suspect pulled the black and dark green four-wheeler off the east side of a porch then dragged it away. LPD Cpl. Chad E. Crynes is the investigating officer.
