DEPARTMENT JAIL LOG

* March 26 -- William E. Hanner, 47, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges connected to being a lifetime habitual traffic violator and possessing a VIN tag and was being held on $14,000 bond. Indiana State Police Trooper Eric Russell was the arresting officer.

* March 26 -- John D. Shields, 52, Jasonville, was arrested on a preliminary charge of invasion of privacy and was being held without bond. Linton Police Officer Heath Murray was the arresting officer.

* March 27 -- Jared P. Kugler, 21, Linton, was arrested on a preliminary charge of public intoxication and was being held on $500 bond. Linton Police Officer Heath Murray was the arresting officer.

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Thursday included one request for information only, one fight, one custody dispute/exchange, one protective order violation, one disorderly conduct, one funeral escort, one lost and found, two medical/illness, one alarm, two suspicious vehicles/persons, one assist to another agency, one domestic battery, one child abuse/neglect, one reckless driver, one fingerprint for a gun permit and two traffic stops.

* March 26 -- Information is being forwarding to the prosecutor's office for a possible charge of battery resulting in bodily injury against Jeremy R. Felker, 30, Jasonville, after police responded around 8:30 p.m. to a domestic dispute at an apartment in Linton. According to the police report, when the female resident asked Felker to leave because she did not want to violate apartment rules, Felker became angry, broke several items in the apartment then battered the female. LPD Officer Heath Evan Murray is the investigating officer.
