Felker family thankful for kind deeds
The family of Tom Felker would like to express our thanks and gratitude to family and friends who sent flowers, cards, gifts, food and a special thanks for all the prayers. We would also like to thank the Greene County fire fighters for their tribute to Tom and Kallie Rehmel for writing this wonderful poem:
Tribute to Tom Felker
by Kallie Rehmel
Tom Felker was a special man
He always had an attitude of "I Can"
He had a family that he did love
Along with his God up above
Tom was very active in the church he did belong
Worshipping fellowshipping and singing a song
In Bible School the kids would have fun
Always keeping Tom on the run
Each year the kids would come in mass
Always wanting to be in his class
Tom and Jerry were a team
Quiet and calm it would seem
But if you would catch them on Bible school night
It was a much different sight
With those kids they would dance and sing
And for each child it was a special thing
Every Sunday each person he would greet
And new people he always loved to meet
A member of Wright Township Volunteer Fire Department was he
And at all the dinners and runs, Tom you would see
He would cook pancakes and peel potatoes and do dishes galore
But he did so much more
He helped for the fire department and enjoyed watching it grow
The grass around the firehouse he would even mow
When those tones would sound
To the firehouse he would bound
He would jump in the tanker and drive to the scene
Ready to help the old, young and teen
Tom loved the fire department with all of his heart
And he made an impression on many of us from the start
In the past few years he became ill
But when he was able he would still help out still
Tom was a person who would help those in need
Negative thoughts he did not heed
We know his family and friends are very sad
But he would not want then to feel bad
I am sure he is up in Heaven watching us all
And now he is well and can once again stand tall
We will always remember Tom for his smiles and cheer
Even though we miss hem and want to shed a tear
He is now in a very special place
And he has that big smile back on his face
Family and friends he loved them one and all
And now he has answered his very last call

Butler family appreciates support
To The Editor:
Words can not express our gratitude to everyone for their support during the passing of Bill. Jennifer Cox & Tim Lowe - thank you for opening your home to us and for your compassion during those first hours. To our friends, Linton First United Methodist Church family, Greene-Sullivan Special Ed. Co-op family and the Linton School family for coming to support us during those first hours. Greene County Rescue and Linton Police for their compassion while doing their jobs. To Welch-Cornett and Todd Walton who made an unbearable situation bearable; Nyle Riegle who's message not only comforted us but helped us to celebrate Bill's life; the First United Methodist Church choir who sang so beautifully for Bill; Scotland United Methodist Church for the support of all of us. All the support with prayers, cards, food, calls, sharing of memories and stories all of which helps us during this most difficult time. Thank you to everyone. We will miss Bill dearly.
