John Wesley Hugunin, 34, of Sullivan and formerly of Greene County, died Tuesday evening, April 7, 2009, at his residence.

He was born in Daviess County on Nov. 15, 1974, the son of John Edwin and Teresa (Rasico) Hugunin.

He was a 1994 graduate of White River Valley High School in Switz City. He had worked in construction.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, John E. and Patricia Hugunin of Linton, three children, Courtney, Charisa, and Braden, a sister, Amy Hugunin of Loogootee, a half-brother, Stevie Hugunin of Florida, maternal grandmother, Betty Rasico of Loogootee, close friend, Beth McKenley of Sullivan, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa (Rasico) Hugunin; his maternal grandfather, Theodore J. Rasico; paternal grandfather, James H. Hugunin; and his paternal grandmother, Genevia Hugunin.

Funeral service will be at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11 a.m. Saturday with Larry Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery near Newberry.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday from and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
