WRV competes at Patriot Challenge
The White River Valley girls and boys track and field teams competed at the Patriot Challenge Saturday at Terre Haute North. No team scores were kept.
In the girls competition, Shana McDonald was timed at 15 minutes, 36.29 seconds in the 3,200 meters.
In the 200, Kelsey O'Malley was second with a time of 13.74. Kara McDonald was clocked at 16.80 in the same event and junior Amber Hunt was timed at 18.07.
O'Malley went 14 feet, seven inches, third best in the long jump.
Abby Henry ran a time of 1:19.30 in the 400 and freshman Lydia Miller ran a 2:59.15 in the 800.
Caitlyn Robertson cleared 4-8, good for third place in the high jump.
Kelsey Anderson threw the shot put 27-9 1/2 and Sam Goodman 27-4 1/2, the fifth and sixth best efforts in that event.
Goodman was third in the discus at 108-10 and Anderson was fifth at 95-11.
In the boys competition, Chris Reel ran 6:05.97 in the 1,600. Chris Spencer was timed at 1:12.00 in the 400.
Ty Robbins was fourth in the 800. He was clocked at 2:09.86.
Cole Goodman had a throw of 28-5 1/4 in the shot put and 117-9 1/2 in the discus. Cody Fiscus had an effort of 25-8 1/2 in the shot put and 81-2 1/2 in the discus.
