Andis places first for Lady Miners

Linton-Stockton senior Kelsey Andis was the lone local winner at the Warrior Invitational, a boys and girls track and field event hosted by North Knox High School Saturday.

Andis won the 100 meter low hurdles with a time of 16.80 seconds.

Linton-Stockton was fourth in the girls team standings with 63 points. In the boys event, Linton-Stockton finished eighth with 35 points.

Individually, Linton-Stockton's Cameron Coleman was second in the 300 low hurdles with a time of 45.02. He also was third in the 110 high hurdles with a time of 18.57.

Stefan Sparks of Linton-Stockton threw the shot put 45 feet, six and one-half feet, good for third place. His toss of 116-0 was sixth-best in the discus.

Daniel LeSuer was cleared 5-8 to place fourth in the high jump. Benn Sparks was timed at 46.38, good for fifth in the 300 low hurdles.

The Miners were fourth in the 1,600 and 400 relays.

Andis ran second in the 300 low hurdles. Her time was 49.04.

Bre Alsman took third in the 400 (1:07.70) for the Lady Miners.

Bradlea Beard's 2:43 was fourth best in the 800. Alex Daluga also was fourth in the 100 (13.63).

Brooke Haldeman was timed at 28.76, good for fourth in the 200.

Sydney Lehman was timed at 53.02, fifth best in the 300 low hurdles.

Kristen Riggleman tossed the shot put 28-5 1/2, which was sixth best in that event. Tricia Emmons cleared 6-6, good for sixth place in the high jump. She went 4-8 to place fifth in the high jump.

Kerri Waskom ran the 3,200 in 14:45 (sixth). She tied for sixth in the high jump at 4-6.

The Lady Miners time of 4:29 was second quickest in the 1,600 relay. Linton-Stockton's 11:26 was third fastest in the 3,200 relay. The Lady Miners were clocked at 54.75, third best in the 400.

Both Linton-Stockton teams will compete at the North Daviess Invitational Friday.
