Born Feb. 23, 1976 in Linton, he was the son of Donald Leroy Borders, Jr. and Janey Marie (Lawless) Borders.
He worked for Peabody Coal Company and also poured concrete. He was a member of ABATE of Indiana, an associate member of the FOP, Sons of the American Legion Post #22, and was a member of the Renegades.
Surviving relatives include: his children, Angela Renee Borders of Terre Haute and Dalton Michael Borders of Boonville; father, Donald Leroy Borders, Jr. and wife Kandra of Jasonville; mother, Janey Marie Borders and Paul Foster of Spencer, one sister, Melinda K. Hill and husband David of Bedford; brother, Thomas Lee Roland Borders of Shelburn; grandfather, Donald Leroy Borders, Sr. of Staunton; grandmother, Mary Farris of Brazil; stepsisters, Brandy Wahl of Seelyville and Kaitlyn Jones of Jasonville, and Michelle Stanley of Sullivan; stepbrother, Brian Campbell of Terre Haute; uncles, Tommy Borders of Brazil and Don Lawless and his wife Sandy of Bloomfield; aunt, Gina Moreno and husband Alfredo of Lyons; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his granparents, Wilbur and Hildegard Lawless; a stepbrother, Eric Wahl; and an uncle, Jeffrey Borders.
Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one-hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
