GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
* May 11 -- Buck M. Allen, 30, Midland, was arrested on a preliminary charge of battery with injury and was being held on $1,000 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Brad Deckard was the arresting officer.
LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Monday included one illegal burn, one request for information only, one assist to the utility department, one school/foot patrol, one public intoxication, one funeral escort, one medical/illness, two prowlers, two reckless drivers, two thefts-other, one animal/debris in roadway, one domestic dispute - neighbor, two ordinance violations and two traffic stops.
* May 9 -- No injuries were reported after an accident involving two vehicles at the intersection of NW 5th St. and SR 54W. Two vehicles were stopped for a stop light both facing south. When the front vehicle backed up to allow access to other traffic, the driver did not see the vehicle behind them and backed into it hitting the front bumper in a low impact crash. LPD Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.
* May 10 -- A resident on NW 2nd St. reported the theft of prescription medication from their residence and said they were gone for a few hours then returned home to find the medicine missing. The resident said the medication is left out in the open and several people have access. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.
* May 11 -- A resident reported their cell phone worth approximately $350 was stolen while they were sitting at a booth in the Bottoms Up Bar. LPD Reserve Officer Mike Harroll was the investigating officer.
