LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Wednesday included one fight, one assist to the utility department after hours, one incident of vandalism, one animal cruelty, two accidents with property damage, two lost and found, two medical/illness, two animal complaints, one assist to another agency, one possibly intoxicated driver, two thefts-other, one domestic dispute and five traffic stops.
* May 19 -- A resident reported their pink and white with stars wallet had been stolen. It contained a Bloomfield State Bank check card, driver's license, social security card, ISU ID card and a few dollars. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.
* May 20 -- A resident reported an incident of criminal mischief involving vandalism to a vehicle which occurred while their vehicle was parked in the school parking lot. The vehicle was parked there all day and when they went to pull away, they ran over a blade which punctured their tire. They believed someone placed the blade their on purpose. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.
* May 20 -- A resident whose vehicle had been parked at WalMart reported an incident of vandalism and theft that occurred while they were inside the store. When they returned to their car, prescription medication was missing along with a pack of Pall Mall cigarettes. They also noticed a scratch the length of the car on the passenger side. The vehicle may have been left unlocked. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.
