Nancy Ilene (Robison) Greene, of Bloomfield, passed away on July 5, 2009 at the age of 64.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Greene of Bloomfield, son Wayne Greene of Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter Karen (Greene-Smith) Wells and son-in-law Tim Wells of Bloomfield, mother Thelma Robison of Bloomfield, she leaves behind four grandchildren, Cassie Wells, Kyle Smith, Josh Wells and Cyndel Smith all of Bloomfield, and her father and mother in-law, Edgar and Dorothy Greene of Linton.
She was born the daughter of Ralph and Thelma (Headley) Robison on Oct. 4, 1944 in Bloomington.
She attended school at Solsberry, and was in the first High School Class to graduate from Eastern High School in 1962. She attended Indiana Business School and worked for Purdue University in the library department while her husband attended Purdue. She was an active church member of Cincinnati Christian Church where she volunteered as a church secretary for many years. She was supportive of her children's and grandchildren's activities, striving to attend as many church, 4-H, and sporting events as she possibly could. She was a 10-year 4-H member and a 4-H club leader for several years. She was active with the Walnut Council and, with her husband, attended many national and state activities.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in her memory to Cincinnati Christian Church Scholarship Fund or to the Walnut Council Foundation.
She will be missed by her family and her many friends.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cincinnati Christian Church, with Henry Mann and Tony Stinson officiating.
Viewing and visitation hours will be from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services on Wednesday at the Cincinnati Christian Church.
