JAIL LOG

* July 29 -- Shane K. Barnes, 30, Linton, was arrested on a body attachment and being held in lieu of $500 bond. Linton Police Officer Heath Evan Murray was the arresting officer.

* July 29 -- Amy L. Young, 35, Bloomington, was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of marijuana, released on $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 3. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Brad Deckard was the arresting officer.

* July 29 -- Anthony Jewell, 34, Bloomington, was arrested on a body attachment and was being held in lieu of $441 bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy John Fowler was the arresting officer.

* July 29 -- Derek A. Young, 36, Bloomington, was arrested on a preliminary charge of possession of marijuana, released on $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 3. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Brad Deckard was the arresting officer.

* July 30 -- Debbie L. McKenzie, 35, Worthington, was arrested on a body attachment, released on $500 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 3. Linton Police Cpl. Paul Clark was the arresting officer.

LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT

ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Wednesday included one accident with personal injury, one accident with property damage, four animal complaints, one suspicious vehicles/persons, one theft-other, two thefts of bicycles, one bicycle recovered, one fingerprint for a gun permit, one arrest-wanted on warrant, one domestic dispute, two ordinance violations and three traffic stops.

* July 29 -- A resident on E. Vincennes St. reported the theft of a BMX style 20-inch bicycle with a blue frame, gray bars and black rims and pegs. The bike was leaned up next to a porch and must have been taken sometime between 10 p.m. on July 28 and 3 a.m. on July 29.

* July 29 -- A Bloomington woman reported a hit-and-run accident which occurred between 1:10-1:40 p.m. while her blue 2001 Ford Taurus was parked in a lot and she was shopping in a store. When she returned to the car, she noticed a dent to the driver's door area. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen is the investigating officer.

* July 29 -- Shane Barnes, 30, Linton, was arrested around 9:30 p.m. on a civil Writ of Attachment issued by Greene Superior Court. The arrest warrant was served at a residence on SE 3rd St. in Linton. Barnes was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Greene County Jail where his bond was set at $500 with no 10 percent allowed. LPD Officer Heath Evan Murray was the arresting officer. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes and Cpl. Paul Clark assisted on the scene.

* July 29 -- A woman reported the theft of prescription Xanax pills out of her home. On July 28, she had gotten a prescription filled for 90 .25 mg pills and the next morning, 88 of the pills were missing along with the bottle that was sitting on a bookshelf in the living room. LPD Cpl. Chad Crynes is the investigating officer.

* July 30 -- LPD Cpl. Paul F. Clark, II, was on routine patrol around 2:30 a.m. when he observed Debbie McKenzie, 35, Worthington, at the BP gas station. The officer knew of a possible civil body attachment for her and confirmed a Writ of Attachment had been issued for $500. McKenzie was arrested and transported to the Greene County Jail without incident. McKenzie was released after posting the $500. She is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 3. LPD Cpl. Clark was the arresting officer.
