She was born in Linton on Sept. 18, 1920, the daughter of Robert and Georgia M. (Sloan) Wheeler.
In early years, she worked at Cravens Cleaners in Linton and was a homemaker. She attended the Glenburn United Methodist Church in Linton for many years, was a charter member and past president of the Gamma Rho Chapter of the Psi Iota XI, and was active with the Brownies and Girl Scouts for several years.
She is survived by her husband whom she married Feb. 7, 1942, Harold F. Creech of Linton; a daughter, Cheryl (Ron) Stevenson of Peoria, IL; a son, Stephen (Peggy) Creech of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Angie and Jeff Stevenson, Wendi (Garth) Goodlett and Christin (Rob) Schippnick; and three great-grandchildren, Baileigh & Sydne Goodlett, and Ashlin Schippnick.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton with Rev. Max Slough officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
