She was born in Linton on October 3, 1927, the daughter of Berl and Eleanor (Shaw) Morrison.
She worked as a cook, both at Linton-Stockton School Corporation and as a morning cook at Greene County General Hospital. She was a member of the Burris Chapel U.B. Church until it's closing and the Glenburn United Methodist Church until it's closing, and currently attended the Linton First Christian Church. Margaret was a life-long cook and mother whom loved helping others.
She is survived by two sons, Curt (Connie) Carr of Linton and Dan (Jeanine) Carr of Terre Haute; a daughter, Eleanor (Mark) Bledsoe of Rushville, IL; four brothers, Bernard Morrison of Fayetteville, GA, Larry (Nancy) Morrison of Ofallon, IL, Harold Morrison of Linton, and John (Beverly) Morrison of Brentwood, TN; two sisters, Helen Wright of Terre Haute and Mary Borden of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis M. Carr; three sisters, Leta Potochnik, Mildred McDowell and Betty Sell; and a brother, Robert Morrison.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11 a.m. Thursday with Warren Shake, Mark Bledsoe, and Ken Coffman, officiating.
Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
