He was born on March 18, 1938 in Loogootee to Delbert and Mae (Holland) Norris.
Charles was a U.S. Army veteran and was an employee of RCA/Thompson Consumer Electronics for more than 30 years. He treasured his relationships with God and friends through numerous churches in the area.
Charles is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sherry L. (Wallisa) Norris; his daughters, Lori (John) Richardson of Brownsburg, and Misty (Michael) Chapman of Zionsville; a son David (Melanie) Norris of Greenfield; five grandchildren Rachel, Luke, Claire and Nick Richardson and McKenzie Chapman; four step-grandchildren Cole, Cassandra, Chandler and Carly; beloved brothers and sisters Gary Norris of Burns City, Diane Wood of Columbus, Ray Norris of Loogootee and Barbara Sue Cannon of Newburgh.
He was preceeded in death by his parents; brothers David and Donald Norris; and sister Marcella Fuhs.
Visitation hours are Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Lester Jenkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield. The celebration of Charles' life will begin at the Word of Life Fellowship in Bloomfield on Saturday, August 22 at 10 a.m.
