LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Wednesday included one follow-up investigation, one drug investigation, one school/foot patrol, one utility repair, one accident with personal injury, one accident with property damage, two lost and found, three medical/illness, one alarm, one animal complaint, one prowler, one reckless driver, one fingerprint for a gun permit, one domestic dispute, one ordinance violation and six traffic stops.
* Sept. 2 -- No injuries were reported following a "chain-reaction" accident involving three vehicles at 3:12 p.m. All three were southbound on NE 4th St. passing NE I St. when two of them stopped for traffic and the third in line did not see them in time and struck the middle car on the rear bumper which in turn struck the car in front in the rear. Minimal damage was reported on the first and third cars but the one in the middle was moderately damaged. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.
GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
* Sept. 2 -- Rodney A. Baker, 30, Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant issued out of another county for failure to appear. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Eric Smith was the arresting officer.
* Sept. 2 -- Damasker C. Young, 38, Bloomfield, was arrested on preliminary charges of vehicle theft and driving while suspended, released on $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 7. Bloomfield Police Reserve Officer Darci Nichols was the arresting officer.
