The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one incident of refusal to leave, one illegal burn, one title check, one follow-up investigation, one request for information only, two fights, one assist to the utility department, four assists to the utility department after hours, two structure fires, one hazardous materials disposal/wash down, seven medical/illness, two alarms, two suspicious vehicles/persons, two assists to other agencies, two harassment complaints, one possibly intoxicated driver, one reckless driver, one traffic control, one extra patrol, one bicycle theft, one welfare check/concern, two arrests - wanted on warrants, three community relations, one ordinance violation, one battery and six traffic stops.
* Sept. 11 -- Police are investigating an incident of a possible battery with injury involving strangulation plus a theft reported by a rural resident. The victim reported a suspect had gotten him a headlock and punched him a closed fist several times and stole money from him. The incident reportedly occurred outside behind a residence around 7:40 p.m. LPD Officer Heath Murray is the investigating officer. Officer Debbie McDonald is assisting.
* Sept. 11 -- A resident on NE F St. reported an incident of harassment that occurred around 4:15 in the front yard of a residence by two boys who threatened to beat a man up. LPD Officer Deb McDonald is the investigating officer.
* Sept. 13 -- Police arrested Lee J. Johnson, 20, of Sandborn, at the Burger King restaurant around 5:32 p.m. after they saw him there and were aware that he was wanted on a warrant for a preliminary charge of possession of a legend drug, a class D felony. Johnson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Greene County Jail. LPD Officer Nick Yingling was the investigating/arresting officer. LPD Det. Josh Goodman assisted on the scene.
