Born Oct. 21, 1942 in Clarksburg, West Virginia he was the son of Carl and Florence (Kyle) Armour.
He retired from NSWC Crane as a inspector and served his country with the U.S Marine Corps. He belonged to the Solsberry Masonic Lodge and Order of Eastern Star, the Lyons American Legion Post # 479 and was an avid outdoorsman.
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Sandra (Beasley) Armour whom he married January 21, 1972; grandchildren, Kyla and Dyllan Armour of Williams; daughter-in-law, Irma Armour of Williams; brothers and sisters, Carl (Jorene) Armour and Ann (Dan) Cooper, all of West Virginia, Becky Townsend (Mike Price), Bob (Terry) Armour, Enid (Albert) Abdo, all of Florida, and Leona (Jim) Hobson of Bloomfield; Kevin and Penny Hobson; and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Jay Armour on July 28, 2006 and his parents.
Graveside services will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday, at Walnut Grove cemetery in rural Bloomfield, with Rev. David Wilde officiating. Military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #479 of Lyons.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Airedale Terrier Club of America Rescue and Adoption Committee, 13301 Starcross Road, Midlothian, VA 23113 or the Greene County Humane Society.
