Vada J. "Jeanie" Vaughn 74, of Sullivan and formerly of Linton, went to be with the Lord at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009 at her home.
She was born in Sullivanon March 14, 1935 the daughter of John Edward Harlow and Nora Jean Goodman Harlow.
She was a retired nurse's assistant at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Linton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, also, two brothers, Harold "Buck" Harlow and John "Cotton" Harlow, four sisters, Mary Blythe, Virginia Bond, Marion Rose, and Ruby Mason.
Survivors include three daughters, Lissa Steele (Stephen) of Bloomington, Teresa Morris (George) of Terre Haute, and Janelle Phipps of Sullivan, one sister Blanch Sevier of Indianapolis, nine grandchildren Malokia Cooper, Joshua Steele, Elijah Steele, Hendrix Steele, Yancy Benefiel, Bryce Benefiel, Jeddidiah Booker, Michelle Vaughn,Tony Lynn-Morris, and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Pastor Billy Gott officiating. Interment in the Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and before service Friday.
