Evelyn Maxine Houser, 88, of Ellettsville passed away on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 at her residence.
She was born into the home of Rex Stone and Helen (Lynn) Stone on Aug. 31, 1921 in Bloomfield.
Evelyn was a homemaker and was a member of the Epsilon Xi Tri Kappa Chapter. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 58 years, Vernon "Pete" Houser on May 3, 2002.
Evelyn is survived by her sons, Rick Houser of Indianapolis and Randy Houser of Orlando, Fla.; sisters, Bernice Shantz of Terre Haute and Mary Nelle Harrison of Linton; grandchildren, Kim Orlowski of Tyler, Texas, Karri Cope of Batesville, AR, Kelly Houser of Cocoa, Fla., and Tracy Zack of Orlando, Fla.; and great-grandchildren, Damon Houser, Rilee Zack Keith and Jackson Orlowski, James, Daniel and Joshua Stone Orlowski and Stephen Cope.
Funeral service will be at Chandler Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until time of service.
