The Linton Police Department's activity log for Monday included one fraud, one illegal burn, one request for information only, one vandalism, one structure fire, two lost and found, one medical/illness, one animal complaint, two assist to other agencies, one extra patrol, one theft-other and one message delivery.
* Oct. 5 -- A resident reported a case of identity theft and said several charges had been made to their debit card but neither the owner nor his wife had used the card at any of the businesses which included an online dating service and a flower service. LPD Det. Duane Collenbaugh is the investigating officer.
* Oct. 5 -- A resident reported an incident of criminal mischief after they found key marks on the driver's side doors of their vehicle which had been parked in the WalMart lot between 6-7 p.m. on Oct. 4. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.
