Phillip Key, 82, of Worthington, passed away at 9:15 A. M. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, at Glenburn Home in Linton.

He was born Aug. 4, 1927 in Mishawaka to William and Elizabeth (Hullett) Key.

He was retired from NSWC Crane in 1972 after 30 years service. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Betty (Fulford) Key, of Worthington; Son, Mark Key and wife Jill, Clarksville, TN; two daughters, Lisa Racine, Mooresville; Mary Ann Key, Spencer; 7 grandchildren, Nikki Scheerer, Brentt Skinner, Jilana Bond, Darren Key, Jessica Wills, Trevor Pattillo, and Nathan Racine; seven great grandchildren, Trenton, Noah, Madison, Kyler, Zoie, Wyatt, and Marlayna.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Debra Susan and Sanfra Lynn Key; two brothers and one sister.

Service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home, Worthington 1 p.m. Saturday with Ted Fulford officating.

Friends may call at Welch & Cornett 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m. Saturday until time of service.

Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
