JAIL LOG

* Oct. 19 -- Justin L. Axsom, 22, Jasonville, was arrested on a warrant issued on a petition to revoke and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy John Fowler was the arresting officer.

* Oct. 19 -- Benjamin R. Francis, 30, Terre Haute, was arrested on a body attachment and was being held in lieu of $1,000. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy John Fowler was the arresting officer.

* Oct. 19 -- Michael A. Steele, 20, Indianapolis, was arrested on a warrant issued for failure to appear and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Rick Marques was the arresting officer.

* Oct. 20 -- Thomas J. Wakes, 28, Terre Haute, was arrested on a preliminary charge of dealing methamphetamine and was being held without bond. Jasonville Police Officer Ryan VanHorn was the arresting officer.

* Oct. 20 -- Callie A. Wright, 27, Terre Haute, was arrested on a preliminary charge of dealing more than three grams of methamphetamine and was being held without bond. Jasonville Police Officer Ryan VanHorn was the arresting officer.

ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Monday included one follow-up investigation, two requests for information only, one vandalism, one drug investigation, one accident with property damage, three animal complaints, two harassment complaints, three thefts, one welfare check/concern, one fingerprint for a gun permit, one ordinance violation and two traffic stops.

* Oct. 19 -- A drive-off theft which occurred at approximately 2:10 p.m. on Oct. 17 was reported by Jim's Petro gas station on NE A St. A customer pumped $50.30 worth of fuel then paid $20.30 but still owed $30. The customer stated he would return but as of 11 a.m. on Oct. 29, had not come back. The customer gave a name and number to the cashier but it may be fake. The customer was driving a maroon Ford pickup truck. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.
