SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT JAIL LOG
*Oct. 23 -- Randy J. Nickle, 27, Linton, was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia and is being held on no bond. Linton City Police Officer Paul Clark was the arresting officer.
*Oct. 23 -- Rodney R. Shipley, 27, Linton, was arrested on a preliminary charge of dealing methamphetamine and is being held on no bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Jeremy Inman was the arresting officer.
The Linton Police Department responded on Thursday to one vandalism report, two criminal mischief reports, one lost and found, two medical/illnesses, two suspicious persons/vehicles, one domestic dispute and one domestic/neighbor report. The department also had one community relation, one title check, one utility after-hours report, four traffic stops and three assists to other agencies.
* Oct. 22 -- Larry Poselwait, 109 Mobile Manor, Linton, reported vandalism to his property after neighborhood kids spray painted landscape. LPD responding officer indicated in report that no charges have been filed and the kids will help clean the paint.
* Oct. 22 -- Lois Jenkins, 660 NE D St., Linton, reported vandalism to her property. She reportedly heard a loud crash, looked outside and spotted a baseball bat on the ground. She then noticed the cover of an outside light was torn off. LPD responding officer indicated in report that information on suspect(s) was unknown.
