Loyce was born Oct. 24, 1923 in Linton to the late Arthur and Deletha (Turpin) Borders.
She was also preceded in death by one sister, Doris Bull.
On November 28, 1945 in Linton, she married Frank H. Gennicks. Frank died March 23, 1964.
Loyce had worked for Gilbert's Clothing Store in Mishawaka as a bookkeeper for several years. She later worked as a hostess at Eddie's Restaurant and Capri's before finally retiring from the University Club at Notre Dame where she also worked as a hostess. She was a past president of the VFW Post 360 Women's Auxiliary, past president of the Eagles Women's Auxiliary and started the PTA for the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation. Even though she stayed busy, she always had time for the one thing she loved most, her family.
Surviving her are three sons, Terry (Barbara) Gennicks of Mishawaka, Larry (Janie) Gennicks of Elkhart, Randy (Patty) Gennicks of Osceola; seven grandchildren, Alexandra, Elissa, Joe, Jennifer, Kristina, Chasity and Brandy; 10 great-grandchildren; Corinne, Nathan, Madison, Jordyn, Kayla, Riley, Zachary, Haley, Ava and one more on the way; one sister, Flora Elizabeth "Babe" (Raymond) Rausch of Tennessee and one brother, Walter (Dianne) Borders of Mishawaka.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-8 at the Hahn Funeral Home 505 W. 8th St. Mishawaka. Friends may also call one hour prior to services on Wednesday at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
