John Edwin Gould, 86, of Linton, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at Linton Nursing and Rehab Center in Linton. He was born in Lyons, on April 14, 1923 to Asel Benjamin and Cecil Mae (Stewart) Gould.

John served in the United States Army during WWII, after service he worked as a construction and factory worker until his retirement in 1985.

Survivors include: two sisters, Oletha Mae Perigo of Clarksville; and Patty Ann Watts of Linton; brother, Dwight M. Gould of Midland; and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Adams officiating.

Interment will follow in the Prairie Chapel Cemetery near Lyons with military graveside rites provided by Linton American Legion Post #22.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, from 9 a.m. until the hour of services of Tuesday.
