Curtis F. Todd, 88, of Bucktown, passed away at 7:53 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 at Sullivan County Community Hospital.

He was born in Greene County on Oct. 16, 1921, the son of John Todd and Icie Harper Todd.

He was retired after 33 1/2 years as property manager for the Greene-Sullivan State Forest, a part-time writer for The Scoop, and a member of the Samaria Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, also his first wife Margie L. Decker Todd in 1982, two brothers, Raymond and Kenneth Todd, two sisters, Faye Tetrick and Marjorie Byers, and one granddaughter, Melanie.

Survivors include his wife Lois Capallia Todd, three sons, Curtis Todd Jr. (Diana) of Linton, Lonnie Todd (Hazel), and Richard "Corky" Todd (Diana) all of Pleasantville, one daughter, Janice Sue Hale (John) of Pleasantville, four step children all residing in Florida, one brother, William Todd (Phyllis) of Dugger, 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009 at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Pastor Gary Shaw officiating. Burial in the Pleasantville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday and before services Saturday.
