Bobby Gene Bays

Bobby Gene Bays, 81, of Linton and formerly of Worthington, passed away 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.

Born Dec. 18, 1927 in Terre Haute, he was the son of Fred and Mildred (Newman) Bays.

He was a machinist for Griffin Engineering in Worthington and served his country in the Korean War with the U.S. Army.

Surviving relatives include: one son, Jack Bays of Worthington; one daughter, Cynthia Byarley of Lyons; one brother; five sisters; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Katherine Ann; and one son, Ricky Gene.

Military graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at Worthington Cemetery.

Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
