GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

JAIL LOG

* Nov. 21 -- Angel R. Walls, 24, Linton, was arrested on a warrant and was being held in lieu of $4,000 bond. Linton Police Officer NickYingling was the arresting officer.

* Nov. 21 -- Joshua D. Hollifield, 25, Jasonville, was arrested on a warrant and was being held in lieu of $4,000 bond. Jasonville Police Officer Mike Ladson was the arresting officer.

* Nov. 21 -- Zachary L. Weinzapfel, 24, New Harmony, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, released on Nov. 22 on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 4. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Eric S. Smith was the arresting officer.

* Nov. 22 -- Daniel L. Day, 38, Linton, was arrested on a warrant and was being held without bond. Linton Police Officer Nick Yingling was the arresting officer.

ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included three follow-up investigations, five requests for information only, one assist to the utility department after hours, one incident of vandalism, one protective order violation, one criminal mischief, one accident with personal injury, four accidents with property damage, eight medical/illness, two alarm, one animal complaint, three suspicious vehicles/persons, one assist to another agency, one harassment complaint, one reckless driver, three thefts-other, one welfare check/concern, one motor vehicle theft, three arrests-wanted on warrants, one abandoned vehicle, one ordinance violation and one traffic stop.

* Nov. 20 -- Police are investigating a reported theft of a PSE compound bow with blue inlay with silver and an aluminum tree stand. LPD Officer Deb McDonald is the investigating officer.

* Nov. 20 -- An incident of theft was reported by the Dollar General Store after two men came into the store and stole several items around 6:15 p.m. When the men returned at 8:50 p.m., driving a red and silver older Ford, police were called but the men left before police arrived. LPD Officer Heath Murray is the investigating officer.

* Nov. 20 -- A Bloomfield woman reported an incident of invasion of privacy occurred while she was shopping in WalMart around 9:30 p.m. The police report said a man, who has valid order of protection against him, was walking behind her, talking to her and continued to follow her throughout the store. she said she repeatedly asked him to leave. The incident is under investigation and police have requested video surveillance tapes from the store. LPD Cpl. Paul Clark is the investigating officer. He is being assisted by Officers Murray, Blazier and Bredeweg.

* Nov. 21 -- An act of criminal mischief/vandalism at the city park was reported by the City Of Linton. Several lights had been removed from their sockets in the bandstand area sometime overnight Nov. 20-21. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen is the investigating officer.

* Nov. 22 -- Police are investigating a theft of $400 cash and prescription pills that were missing from a residence in Camelot Courts. The theft is believed to have occurred on Nov. 17. LPD Officer Nick Yingling is the investigating officer.

* Nov. 21 -- Angel Walls, 24, Linton, was wanted on an arrest warrant issued in connection with a preliminary charge of theft, a class D felony, when police received a tip that she was at her residence on SE B St. Walls was taken into custody at 8:15 p.m. and transported to the Greene County Jail. LPD Officer Nick Yingling was the arresting officer. He was assisted on the scene by LPD Reserve Officer Rodney Bredeweg.

* Nov. 21 -- An incident of vandalism was reported to the police by a resident in an apartment on NE 7th St. who said he noticed a window had been busted after another person left his residence. The cost of damage was estimated around $200. The incident allegedly occurred between 9:40-11:40 p.m. LPD Officer Nick Yingling is the investigating officer assisted by Reserve Officer Rodney Bredeweg.

* Nov. 22 -- A drive-off theft was reported by the Country Porch gas station. Around 12:40 p.m., a person in a full-size truck pumped $37 worth of fuel then left the station without paying. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen is the investigating officer.

* Nov. 22 -- Daniel L. Day, 38, Linton, was wanted on an arrest warrant issued in connection with a preliminary charge of disorderly conduct, a class B misdemeanor, when an officer spotted him. Day was taken into custody outside in back of the Bottoms Up Bar at 12:30 a.m. and transported to the Greene County Jail. LPD Officer Nick Yingling was the arresting officer. He was assisted on the scene by LPD Lt. Det. Keith McDonald and Reserve Officer Rodney Bredeweg.
