Donald Joe "Donnie" Carmichael, 28, of Linton and formerly of Jasonville, passed away Monday morning, Nov. 23, 2009, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
He was born in Bedford on Jan. 21, 1981 to Hilda Louise (Allen) Carmichael.
He worked at Wendy's in Linton, and formerly worked at Fashion Pork. He attended Bibleway Church. He grew up in Jasonville and attended Shakamak High School. He liked doing yardwork, going for walks and loved playing video games. He also liked playing baseball, watching basketball and watching the Colts play football.
Donnie is survived by his spouse, whom he married Oct. 13, 2009, Emily Jo (Stevens) Carmichael of Linton; his son, Colton Ezekial Brown of Linton; step-children, Eva Nicole Austin of Indianapolis, and Lili Marie Austin of Indianapolis; step-father, George D. Carmichael of Jasonville; sisters, Betty Allen of Linton, and Mary (Stanley) Jordan of Shirley; mother-in-law, Cynthia Faye(Pete) Washburn of Indianapolis; grandfather-in-law, R.L. Stevens of Indianapolis; sisters-in-law, Brenda Page of Sullivan and Jessica Stevens of Indianapolis; brothers-in-law, Elliot Washburn and Bub Stevens, both of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews; and friends, including his best friend, Johnny Caddell of Jasonville; and his Godchildren: Erica, Noah, and Makenzie Caddell.
He was preceded in death by his mother; brothers, Roger Carmichael and Andy Carmichael; and brother-in-law, Paolo Privterra.
Visitation will be Friday 10 a.m. until service time at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville. Service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Ross of Blessed Hope Baptist Church and Pastor Jerry French of Roosevelt Mission officiating. Burial will be in Owensburg Cemetery near Owensburg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Donnie Carmichael Funeral Account at the funeral home.
