She was born in Linton on April 11, 1938, the daughter of Wendell "Bub" and Anne (Lynch) Booher.
She was a graduate of Switz City Central High School. She was employed by the Linton-Stockton School Corporation for 42 years, retiring as Food Service Director in 2002.
She is survived by a son, Kenny (Gail) Rippy of Linton, a daughter, Judy (Dean) Miller of Linton, a brother, John Booher, three sisters, Sondra Townsend, Debbie Davis, and Lisa Miller, three grandchildren, Kane (DeLora) Rippy, Jennifer (Jason) Wilkinson, and Ashley (David) Franklin, seven great-grandchildren, Justin and Trent Rippy, Addison and Aiden Wilkinson, Jayden Teague, and Makayla and Brianna Pigg, four step-grandchildren, 10 step great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 52 years, Billy J. Rippy on March 25, 2008, and one sister.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
