A 20-year-old man accused of two instances of sexual misconduct with a minor was arrested Tuesday and is being held in the Greene County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.

Cory M. Lemond was booked in by Greene County Prosecutor's Investigator Julie Martin.

Lemond's home address, according to booking information, is Winslow, Ind.

According to a probable cause affidavit, a Family Case Manager with the Greene County Department of Child Services contacted Martin on Nov. 25 and requested her assistance in an investigation.

The affidavit, written by Martin, alleges Lemond had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old female juvenile in her home during early morning hours on two occasions in November.

The incidents reportedly occurred when Lemond was living in the residence off and on for the last few months, until he was asked to leave.

Martin interviewed the victim, family members and Lemond during the investigation and the affidavit indicates Lemond was aware of the female victim's age.

The preliminary charges filed against Lemond on Wednesday include two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, both as class C felonies.

Lemond is scheduled to be arraigned in Greene Circuit Court on Friday morning.
