LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included two follow-up investigations, one lifting assistance, one assist to the utility department after hours, one school/foot patrol, one accident with property damage, two medical/illness, one animal complaint, one assist to another agency, one harassment complaint, one theft-other, one animal/debris in roadway, one abandoned vehicle and three traffic stops.

* Dec. 15 -- Police are investigating an incident of someone leaving the scene of an accident in the WalMart parking lot at 8:55 p.m. The police report says the suspect vehicle backed up at a high rate of speed and hit another vehicle causing damage to both vehicles. There were witnesses and police have access to surveillance video from the store that show the suspect in the store, then getting into the suspect vehicle and hitting the other vehicle. LPD Officer Tom Jerrels is the investigating officer.
