The Linton Police Department's activity log for Friday through Sunday included one incident of trespassing, one refusal to leave, one title check, one follow-up investigation, one request for information only, one lifting assistance, three assists to the utility department after hours, one vandalism, one custody dispute/exchange, one criminal mischief, one animal cruelty, one structure fire, two accidents with property damage, one funeral escort, two lost and found, 13 medical/illness, one alarm, three animal complaints, two suspicious vehicles/persons, three assists to other agencies, two harassment complaints, two thefts-other, one fingerprint for a gun permit, three domestic disputes, one shoplifting, one ordinance violation and seven traffic stops.
* Jan. 1 -- Police investigated a theft from a vehicle parked at a residence on RR2 that occurred sometime after 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 31. The victim had a duty belt containing handcuffs, pepper spray and other items which was taken along with a black CD case containing numerous CDs. The duty belt was later recovered on NW 10th Street south of the victim's residence. LPD Det. Josh Goodman was the investigating officer.
* Jan. 1 -- Police investigated the theft on Dec. 30 of a Kenwood Super Tuner radio worth approximately $100 from a vehicle parked at a residence on SE 5th St. The radio was recovered. LPD Det. Duane Collenbaugh was the investigating officer.
