LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT

ACTIVITY LOG

The Linton Police Department's activity log for Monday included three follow-up investigations, one request for information only, one school/foot patrol, two accidents with property damage, one funeral escort, four medical/illness, two animal complaints, two child abuse/neglect, one theft-other, one motor vehicle theft, one fingerprint for a gun permit, one domestic dispute, two community relations, one battery and five traffic stops.

* Jan. 17 -- LPD Det. Sgt. Keith McDonald responded to an accident involving two vehicles at approximately 2:45 p.m.

Amy Hollingsworth, 36, Linton, was operating a silver 2008 Dodge B300 southbound on 15th St. and had stopped at a T-intersection at Price Road.

Jeffery T. Wilson, 23, Linton was operating a red 1990 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound on Price Road approaching the intersection when Hollingsworth, attempting to access a private drive straight ahead of her, pulled into Wilson's path.

Both vehicles sustained damage but no injuries were reported.

* Jan. 17 -- LPD Det. Sgt. Keith McDonald responded to an accident involving two vehicles at approximately 7:50 p.m.

Dane A. Shelton, 44, Linton, was operating a silver 2000 Chevrolet 1500 truck southbound on S. Main St. when he became distracted by a conversation with a passenger.

Shelton drove into the parking lane and struck a silver 2003 GMC Discovery that was parked on S. Main St. just south of B St.

Both vehicles sustained damage but no injuries were reported.

* Jan. 17 -- LPD Patrolman Tom Jerrels responded to an accident involving two vehicles at approximately 9:20 p.m.

Olivia K. Robison, 17, Linton was westbound on NW C St. and disregarded a stop sign at NW 11th St. and entered the intersection.

Orry N. Phipps, 20, Linton, was southbound on NW 11th St. and collided with Robison's vehicle.

Both vehicles sustained damage but no injuries were reported.

* Jan. 18 -- A maroon 1995 Dodge 3500 truck was reported stolen from the Party Center on State Road 54W. The last time the truck was seen was around 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 17. The owner had both keys in his possession. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen is the investigating officer.

* Jan. 18 -- The Southside Gas Station reported a drive-off theft of fuel occurred at approximately 11:17 a.m. after $79.48 worth of fuel was pumped into a maroon Dodge dually truck. An employee also reported the same vehicle drove off with $85 worth of fuel the previous day and that the truck was very dirty. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.

* Jan. 18 -- A resident reported a "hit-and-run" accident occurred around 12:45 p.m. when their own truck was parked in front of Main Street Gifts on S. Main St. The victim said a big gravel truck came around the corner and hit the victim's parked truck damaging the left driver's side taillight. The gravel truck did not stop. LPD Lt. Det. Duane Collenbaugh was the investigating officer.

* Jan. 18 -- A woman who said she was in the middle of a divorce and has been having a lot of problems with her husband reported he had threatened to get her, and slash her tires, around 2:20 p.m. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.

* Jan. 19 -- Kimberly J. Ramey, 53, Bedford, was arrested on a warrant issued in Monroe County and was being held without bond. Bloomfield Police Lt. Harvey Holt was the arresting officer.
