LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Tuesday included one title check, one school/foot patrol, one utility repair, one accident with property damage, one medical/illness, one prowler, two assists to other agencies, one attempted burglary, one theft-other, one disabled/stranded vehicle, one welfare check/concern, one community relations, one ordinance violation and four traffic stops.
* Jan. 19 -- Police investigated an attempted theft reported at the Auto Shop of the Twin Rivers Vocational School on NE 1st St. Sometime after 4 p.m. on Jan. 18, the steering column was busted out of a 1998 Ford Taurus. The vehicle was unlocked. No other damage was noted on the report. LPD Officer Karl Jacobshagen was the investigating officer.

GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S
* Jan. 19 -- Jeffrey J. Plummer, 40, Bloomfield, was arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with refusal, released on $4,000 bond on Jan. 20 and scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 25. Indiana State Police Trooper Adam Davis was the arresting officer.
* Jan. 19 -- Brandi R. Swango, 28, Bloomington, was arrested on a warrant and was being held without bond. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy John Fowler was the arresting officer.
