LINTON POLICE DEPARTMENT
The Linton Police Department's activity log for Thursday included one request for information only, one vandalism, one drug investigation, one accident with personal injury, one accident with property damage, one funeral escort, one alarm, one prowler, one harassment complaint, one domestic battery, one welfare check/concern, two fingerprints for gun permits, three domestic disputes, one theft-unfounded and six traffic stops.
* Jan. 21 -- No injuries were reported following an accident involving two vehicles at 4:23 p.m. on State Road 54 and Glenburn Rd. A vehicle driven by Jay B. Burgess, 34, Linton, sustained damage to the rear bumper after another vehicle, driven by Connie McCammon, 19, Carlisle, slid into the rear end. Burgess was stopped with turn signal on to make a turn. McCammon tried to stop but started to slide. LPD Chief Troy Jerrell was the investigating officer.
GREENE COUNTY SHERIFF'S
* Jan. 21 -- Ernest Eads, 22, Newberry, was arrested on a warrant, released on $4,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 3. Greene County Sheriff's Special Deputy Jim O'Malley was the arresting officer.
